Mom is in Utah with baby Jack, and I am here all alone. Do you feel bad for me? Not because I'm here but because I can't be with my new grandson and his brothers. Well I guess I'll live?
I sure miss my grand children when I don't see them. Now Mom and I have 14 and growing. Each one has a special place in our hearts and minds, and we know more how our father in heaven must feel about us.
I was reading today about children being able to learn two or more languages when they are young. It seems that when we are born we are open to all new sounds and as we hear our parents we start to eliminate what we don’t hear. So we learn or only accept what we hear even if we are not talking yet. I guess it is like we are an open book and take in all and make it ours and that which we don't accept or receive we reject or make it strange. The older we get the more closed our minds get to receiving and accepting new things. I think only when we are not comfortable or very happy do we look to accept new things and opportunities.
A new child is like a wonderful gift that fills our life with instant love and appreciation of all that is right with the world. They accept us with such love and openness and trust.
Luke called me on my cell phone this morning and we had a nice talk. He told his dad he had talked to me and that I had told him Lewis and Rozi had left for home. Ryan didn't really believe it until I call and told him that Luke called me at 8:18 this morning. We had a nice conversation and Luke was very business like. I ask him how he was and he said he thought he was fine. I told him Lewis and Rozi had left and he wanted to know where they went. I told him home to Washington, and that I had to go, so he said he would see me later. Kids grow up real fast. Don't you think?
I sure do like it when you kids come to visit and wish we could see you more often.
Love,
Dad

I always wished my kids and I lived closer to you. We miss you too.
We miss you grandpa! Brock asked grandma yesterday why you didnt come. I think you need to get out here and find a home to buy...Meri and Ryan would be mad though...but I think it is my turn to have you...there wouldnt be pinocol, my husband is afraid at it. I think we almost made him cry when we tried to teach it to him.
